Ouch.

Ok everyone ready to cringe and go “Ewwwww”?

Ed Helms says he really had his tooth pulled for The Hangover. Via CinemaBlend.com:

““He (dentist) actually had to break the crown off and then unscrew the post from the implant. That leaves a huge hole in your gum and the tissue has to stay healthy, so he screwed in a piece that his lab made that matched my gum tissue. Once the movie was done I got a fresh new implant.”

Wow. That’s dedication to one’s craft right? I thought I was reading an Onion story until I heard him tell the story on NPR’s, Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me. Click here to listen to the podcast. Ed also talks about his banjo playing and role as Andy “Nard Dog” Bernard on The Office. I heart Ed, I really do, toothless and all.

Also, listen to the podcast to hear a bizarre remix of the Tetris video game theme song by Andrew Lloyd Webber(yes….that Andrew Lloyd Webber).

No one likes a tease.

I’m beginning to think AMC enjoys torturing Mad Men viewers. It’s not enough that they pushed the premiere date for season 3 to August 16th. Now they have released a “new” season 3 promo that shows nothing but clips from season 2. It’s obviously just an ad to plug the release of the DVD. You’re really making me cranky AMC.

Omar’s new gig.

In my continuing coverage/stalking of The Wire cast members, I’m happy to report that in addition to his role in The Road, Michael K. Williams(Omar) has just signed on to an HBO pilot directed by Martin Scorsese called Boardwalk Empire. Check out the rest of the cast list and read a little about the plot over at IMDB.

Spoiler Alert: If you haven’t finished Season 5 of The Wire, stop reading here. If you have finished it, read one of my favorite blog posts about Omar and that bastard Kenard.
