The NY Daily News has a collection of what they consider the world’s ugliest animals. I happen to think some of them are kinda cute, even the Star Nosed Mole looks terrifying until you realize he’s the size of teacup. Check out their list here and see if you agree.
Okay, I don’t know who is in charge of Redbook’s cover photos but they need to be fired immediately. Marisa looks beautiful but this shot makes her look like she’s peeing or something. Even I could take a better shot than that and I suck at taking good photos.
The cutest gay couple EVER just broke up. That’s just sad. You may be asking just what kind of relationship issues do penguins have that one decided he just had to go straight?? It was all because of a new hussy in the penguin habitat named Linda.
Now some moron is saying it just proves that nature prefers heterosexual relationships. Actually, I think nature prefer he shut the hell up but that’s just my humble opinion.
Not a whole lot of surprises with this year’s Emmy nominations. I am happy to see Gabriel Byrne getting a nod for In Treatment, it’s an excellent series if you haven’t watched it yet. Also nice to see Dexter, MadMen and Breaking Bad receive nominations. Too bad Battlestar was ignored yet again, I guess Emmy voters don’t watch sci fi shows. Their loss.
I also had high hopes that Jeffrey Donovan or Bruce Campbell would get noticed for Burn Notice but no, let’s give yet another award to Tony Shaloub for Monk. Ugh

Update: I should make a correction, BSG did get some nods, but it was in the technical category and one for the webisode. I wanted them to get nominated for the biggees, best actor, drama series, etc…
This is one of my favorite short animated films. It’s called “The Fan and The Flower”, featuring Portland animator, Bill Plympton and narrated by Paul Giamatti. It’s a sweet but sad little love story and makes me feel guilty everytime I kill a plant.
This is a joke right? It’s gotta be? I guess not.
For all The Warriors movie fans that keep finding my site, the first of a four-part comic book series, “The Warriors: Jailbreak,” is about to be released. The story picks up where the 1979 cult action/thriller ends. The first issue was written by Portland film editor, Erik Henriksen. All the cool people live here.
Click here for more details and where you can meet Erik and grab a comic before it hits the stores.
