Willy DeVille (1950-2009)

Can people stop dying already?? Everytime I turn on the computer, someone else is gone. Punk pioneer, Willy DeVille, passed away at 58. If you love The Princess Bride, and I know you do, you will know who Willy was. Here is an unplugged version of “Storybook Love”:

Michael Jackson (1958-2009)

Geez, first it was Farrah, now reports have confirmed that Michael Jackson passed away today at 50. I guess in the back of my mind I always thought he was one of those celebrities who wouldn’t make it to old age, but it’s still a shock.

Although his last few years were full of controversy, he was an amazingly gifted entertainer and musician. I can still remember going to his Hawai’i concert and standing up on the chair with my best friend Jean(we had seats waaaay in the back) doing the entire zombie dance sequence as he sang “Thriller”. Here is aYouTube clip I found from the concert:

Ok…I’m having another Rupert Everett moment.

So I am browsing Cinematical.com, reading about the latest movie news. I came across an article about Brittany Murphy signing on to star in The Expendables and all I kept saying was “What the hell is up with missy’s face???”

She’s only what like 31 or 32? Her upper lip is about to start merging with her nose…and her cheeks…and her eyes….aaaack. Scary. She keeps this up and she should be the next lion lady. Here’s a side by side comparison of Brit’s two faces:

When Good Faces Go Bad.

rupertnewfaceOk. So I was watching Rachael Ray yesterday and her guest was Rupert Everett who stars in Blythe Spirit on Broadway with Angela Landsbury, and they were talking about how wonderful it is to work with Angela…and how he loves Broadway…and all I could think thru the whole interview was…

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HIS FACE???!!

I have no idea when he did this but I want the old Rupert back. He was every girl’s gay crush, the one we all hoped would hop over to our side of the pond. I don’t know what he can do to change back but he needs to do it fast.

Here’s a side by side comparison of Rupert’s two faces:rupert2

Also, and I don’t know why, but for some reason, he reminds me of this little guy:beak
