“Wait, everyone stop trying to kill me! It’s just a flesh wound!”

It’s only Tuesday, but I’m already in need of a little comic relief. Check out author Jen Lancaster’s condensed version of New Moon using action figures…and pasta sauce. Click here and you’ll see what I mean.

I’m just not getting why this sparkly vampire is considered hot. He was alright as Cedric but I don’t think he’s improving with age. Do I have to be a giggly 12 year old to understand his appeal. I am perplexed.

Buffy vs Edward

Thanks to Oregonian writer, Kristi Turnquist, for this link to one of the best video mash ups EVER:

Creator Jonathan McIntosh explains what drove him to create it:

Buffy vs Edward is essentially an answer to the question “What Would Buffy Do?” My re-imagined story was specifically constructed as a response to Edward, and what his behavior represents in our larger social context for both men and women. More than just a showdown between The Slayer and the Sparkly Vampire, it’s also a humorous visualization of the metaphorical battle between two opposing visions of gender roles in the 21ist century.”

I can’t stop watching this clip, it really speaks to all the problems I had with Twilight and it reminded me just how awesome Buffy was. Click here to read the rest of the article.
